I love this OSt. So many different vibes throughout. I was reminded of like 4 to 5 other games while listening to these themes. Huge props to the composer(s) for doing what the do best! Both the original and the remake are awesome.
For me, Trials of Mana took it from "a really cool track in Seiken Densetsu 3" to one of my favourite pieces of music ever. So stirring, majestic, and beautiful! I definitely get the chills too...

me too, I suddenly start sobbing out of nowhere. I had not cried for like 9 years. Then in 2021, I started frequently crying from beautiful dreams with my Japanese sweetheart. And then some months later, I discovered this OST, and sob multiple times as well from it.
I've never heard about the mana games before learning about that remake. The story, characters, and gOD the OSTs are so good, remixed AND Original tracks. It has that "old time" touch from retro games that I love. That game made me become a huge lover of the mana games !
Man, I need to replay this. Growing up, Secret of Mana was one of my absolute favorite games. I think at some point I tried emulating the SNES version of this game, but there was no translation so of course I didn't get anywhere. So when this came out I loved it. It somehow made me nostalgic for a game I'd never played, and the OST was a big part of that.
@@MazokuJun Yeah, I think I was aware of that, but back when I mentioned I tried to play it, that didn't exist yet. Then the game just fell off my radar, even with hearing about the translation. So this version bringing the game back into the spotlight was perfect for me.
I love the electric guitar used in the remixed version of Obsession, particularly since it gets a lot of airtime when going through Illusory Altena in Anise’s Stockade after finishing the main quest.
Thanks for sharing this, one of my favorite soundtracks. Some of the tracks have discord pings in the background. "Fable," "Female Turbulence," "Intolerance," all have pings. There's probably more, I haven't finished listening to the soundtrack yet.

It serves in exceptional fashion as the companion piece for the climax of the heroes' journey; and not just Duran's, Angela's, the Fairy's, and of those who fight alongside them, but also the lifelong campaign of the Dragon Lord, who can be considered a hero on our terms as well, but fighting on the opposite side for his own grand goals, which may appear villainous to us in the audience if we don't attempt to transport ourselves onto his point of view. Trials of Mana really is the epic of our era.

Oooh. You know, I haven’t played the remake for this, just finished a playthrough of an English ROM hack which I always wanted to do! (日本語を読むだけどほとんど理解できない ^_^;). But man, the remastered songs are great! Usually these remakes try to jazz up the OST and end up losing some of the character that made a song what it is. These don’t do that. They retain the original character what just being better. Fantastic!

They didn't correct/improve the random job item drops from random enemy spawns. That's the one thing they had to change, and they made it worse. RIP.

SFC版しかプレイしていませんが、二、三十回ぐらいクリアしました。それでもたまにやりたくなります😂

There was a fan translated version, they needed to keep the names short because of the 6 character limit but otherwise kinda faithful to the origin.
